America has celebrated Martin Luther King Day since 1983 on the third Monday in January. Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. was an important person in the American Civil Rights movement, who believed in non-violence. He campaigned against segregation and inequality and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. In 1963 he gave his most famous speech, which contains the well-known phrase I have a dream.
Here you can enjoy most of this important speech. Then, think about the way in which you can contribute to improve the world and post a comment beginning like this:

I think that all humans are equal, so I think that Martin Luther King Jr. did the best thing to end with racism. I think that I can help people to fit in their surroundings and if everybody do it, society will improve a lot. I have a dream with world peace, no poor, no racism, no war and with happiness.

ReplyDeleteI have a dream of a world where all the people have the same rights, in which all the people talk to resolve their problems and never use the violence, a world where all the people have the same oportunities. In my world there aren´t any problem because all the people work in the same road. Now this world can't be posible, but if all the people work to get this, in the future we can live in a better world.
ReplyDeleteI have a dream about a world that all people were equal without discrimination. That people are not self poisoned drinking alcohol and drug. That there was not poverty in the world and all of us were happy without hurting anyone. I hope all this will change in a near future.
